In a far, far away galaxy…

Back in 1977, my brother Mário emigrated to France after a brief passage through England that didn’t go so well. After enrolling at Sorbonne and having various unimportant jobs as supermarket cashier or other he started on a short lived career as a knitter. This was back in the days when French fashion magazines would have a knitting pattern page (like Elle did) and magazines like 100 Idées were everywhere. Mário is the reason why I knit because suddenly our house was full of sample skeins of yarn of different colours and fibers and I had to do something about it.
